Special Area Classes

The special area classes at South School play a significant role in student’s elementary education. Art, Music, World Language, Physical Education, Project Lead the Way and Library play a crucial role in developing well-rounded and holistic learning experiences. South School students participate in the following special area classes:

Art	One 50-minute class weekly
Music	Two 25-minute classes weekly
Library	One 30-minute class weekly
Spanish	Two 25-minute classes weekly
Physical Education	Four 25-minute classes weekly
Project Lead the Way	Two 50-minute classes for 6 weeks

 

By integrating these special area classes into the elementary curriculum, we are able to support the development of students who can adapt to diverse situations, appreciate different cultures, and creatively solve problems. Participation in these classes have a lasting positive impact on overall growth and future success of students.
